THE SAFARI SERIES

The Safari Series is a collection of small, nature-based businesses in Kenya, dedicated to creating environmental and economic uplift for Africa’s wild spaces and the communities that depend on them. Owners Moon and Ed are driven by this mission to go beyond sustainability into regeneration, all while creating unforgettable travel experiences. Their collection includes a small safari camp, Moon’s Camp in the spectacular Lolldaiga Hills overlooking Mount Kenya, Chuchungi House on the southern coastline of Lamu, and the African Private Guides Network which spans across sub-Saharan Africa.

Moon, Ed and their team share Attenborough’s belief (quote below) that only by making nature and wilderness areas accessible can we hope to preserve and improve them. To do this, they have created properties which are purposefully affordable, a rarity in the safari space. Their partially inclusive rate welcomes a more diverse range of travellers to experience the magic of Kenya, creating ever-more future nature ambassadors. For travellers, there’s endless joy in the freedom to explore and multitude of activities, from Moon’s Camp’s walking, horseback safaris, vintage Landrover driving, fly camping and discovering rock art to Chuchungi House’s safari-on-the-beach range of activities, sundowners and delicious locally-sourced food. We love working with this team who are creating a whole new way of connecting with Kenya and driving positive change in remote areas.
